USPSTF publishes new documents on cervical cancer screening recommendations

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has published two new documents to establish recommendations for cervical cancer screening:

* Screening for Cervical Cancer: A Decision Analysis for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, prepared by the Duke and Minnesota Evidence-based Practice Centers. http://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/uspstf11/cervcancer/cervcancerdecan.pdf

* Screening for Cervical Cancer: A Systematic Evidence Review for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, prepared by the Oregon Evidence Based Practice Center. http://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/uspstf11/cervcancer/cervcanceres.pdf

A draft recommendation statement will be posted in the near future for public comment the USPSTF web site: http://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/tfcomment.htm  Individuals will be able to respond with personal comments, which we encourage. CCFA staff will post when the USPTF draft recommendations have been made available.
